The buffet is a little small but because of the smaller menu the buffet food is a good quality and tasty. It's also well priced especially if you can make it for the lunch special

This is the best Chinese food on the Island. A great selection of items on the all you can eat buffet. Also a full selection of items on the menu. The main difference between Silver Streams and the rest in town.....the care they take to select ingredients and the time to prepare them. A+++

My favorite Chinese food restaurant in Charlottetown, for that matter the island. Food is great and every time I've been there very consistent. Lots of items to choose from and the deserts are good also, I love the strawberry ice cream, anyway I think it's 15 dollars for the buffet at supper so go there hungry and have at least one huge plate if not two lol, you're ice water glass will always be full, wonderful staff.

We've been there many times. The food there is delicious. There are all kinds of varieties you can choose from. I like the fried vegies, fried noodles, ribs, fried chicken wings. I like the ice cream there too.The price is reasonal. The service is awesome. My husband and I love this Chinese restaurant.26 May,2017. I have to say something today. It was raining at lunch time and this restaurant was packed when I went there. Though some dishes I wanted to eat were running out or gone. But the workers there worked hard to get food on the counter. Anyways it is worthwhile waiting. Thanks for offering the delicious Chinese food.

The new owners are amazing. Probably the best buffet I've had in a while. The food quality wasn't much different. But the service was astonishing. Would totally recommend.

Food very fresh, restaurant was clean and staff very helpful. Price reasonable. We were there for lunch approximately noonish. Would recommend.

We have eaten here numerous times. It's pretty consistent. Not the best chinese food we've had but for the area it is one of the better places. They seem to keep things stocked well. Its usually busy enough that the food doesnt sit and dry out. Overall its a safe bet if you want a chinese buffet on the island.

Friendly service and good food

Just ordered Silver Streams for the first time with the new owners. Nice people, didn't tell me they closed at 630 (online says 730) but offered to stay open until 640 for me but never said they close at 630. The man who gave me the food was very nice, and tossed in some fried dumplings for free(best part of the meal). The rice was clumpy, and half was white half was brown, like unevenly spread soya sauce. The spare ribs, while plentiful where mostly fat, and there were over 10 meatless bones in the pack.The eggrolls were good but could really tatse the oil they were cooked in. The chicken balls (10 for a dinner for 4 people) were hard, chewy, and 2 of them were smaller and breaded differently then the rest. Not a good meal at all. The second star was only for the very polite staff.

I ordered dinner for 3 to goAnd when i got home and set the dinner table and started my meal my lips just watered with pleasure The food was absolutely Delicious.

Was one small mess up in our food, we didn't even complain and they not only replaced the item, they gave us 20% off the order. Excellent service!

This used to be an amazing buffet, but since Danny (the old owner) sold the place, this place has gone way down hill. Wonton soup tasted spoiled, the meat in it was flakes of ham. Most of the dishes in the buffet were empty. Including the ice cream cooler. The new owners may be the ones who finally put that last nail in the coffin for this once great buffet restaurant... Very sad...

Very poor service, food was greasy and hard seemed like it was sitting out for a while, the jello was hard and the ice cream had a hair in it. And on top of it all the waiter was sitting on his phone for most of it had to go up and ask for water. Needless to say I won't be back

Less items compared to other places with same price range.

A nice place to stop for a buffet lunch. Ordered egg roles and they were made up fresh for us. Delicious. The hosts were also very agreeable. Check the hours and days the restaurant is open to avoid disappointment.

Service was very friendly. Food was fair at best. HG spare ribs were very fatty, chicken chow mein was overpowering with onions (didn't even taste like chicken), rice was clumpy and sweet and sour chicken balls were just "okay". We probably won't rush back.

The staff was kind but almost to extremes.. coming over to see how things are every couple of minutes! I suppose they could just ignore you like the previous owners did but they could definitely slow down a little bit! The buffet was alright but the rice was sort of chemically tasting and the ribs had a bit too much fat compared to what I’m use too. All in all it was an OK experience!

The food isnt good at all

I've had better chinese food. My order for two egg rolls took very long and was not flavourful. Not worth the time.

Seems to go hit or miss. Good reasonable price Chinese food all you can eat buffet. Been great last 2 visits. As long as the family that has it now keeps it, it'll be great.

Went new year's Eve for the buffet and where do I start,ribs: tough,egg Foo young:no gravy,no jumbo shrimp,no wonton,red sauce tasted very ketchupy and stained my hands for two days, very poor to no service, coffee creamer sour, egg rolls dry,had to ask for milk three times.Staff was very friendly though and the rice and lo mein.Confusing set up.no bill??

First time here while vacationing. It was awful. The chicken balls were so dry I couldn't cut through them. Any food with meat was really fatty, wontons were just chips, no meat at all, rice tasted burnt. Chicken wings were good though. My husband had a few bites but couldn't eat the rest. Restaurant was not very clean. Doors covered in finger prints, bathroom unclean. We won't be returning.

The new owners have done a wonderful job of bringing Silver Streams up to standards that one would expect from a restaurant. Good food, great value, friendly staff.My only suggestion to the new owners would be for them to install a couple hand sanitizer stations near their entry and near the buffet. The lack of hand washing options for the public is my only concern.

Food was fine but they didn't replenish the buffet once while we were there.

Arrived at 6:30pm and there was very little in the All you can eat Buffet. They were actually taking food out when we arrived. Only half the dishes had any food in them and I would say it had been there for some time.

Wings were under cooked when staff was told they didnt do anything about it.

Very cold inside the restaurant, food at the buffet was cold and not fresh, not good quality at all. Fresh egg rolls came out before we left and they tasted good so maybe food made to order might be better. Staff are friendly.

The last time I was here I said it was my last. I should have done what I said. I believe it has new owners since the last time. But no better food, the fried food all tastes the same. I could see the mold inside my fortune cookie before I even opened it.

No stars! I just wasted $41.00 on a completely tasteless meal. Ribs tough as nails, chicken balls that are 90% batter , chicken fried rice (is that what it was?), best thing I can say about the chow mein was that it was hot. Never again! Couldn't post without giving at least one star, not even worth that. Plum sauce and sweet and sour like water!

Food was ok but not enough of it. Some of the food was cold and some was hot. When I went to get chicken wings there was none. They were never replaced the whole time I was there. I also didnt care for the egg rolls. Next time i will eat else where.

The food tastes really good, and I would definitely get it again! However, the service was a little slow, but that's kind of expected for Mother's Day. Also, I found what looked to be a Claw. I'm not sure what from but I'm assuming maybe a chicken. One thing that I love about this restaurant is that they do so much good in the community! I rate Silver Streams a 3/5, and I will probably be back!

If it were hot it MIGHT BE good......was the best Chinese food buffet in town before it was bought and changed..... :( so disappointed. ..

Not an extensive buffet but all the food served was really good. Great prices for all you can eat. One of the better places in town for us so far.

Great food wonderful new staff the owner is amazing

Limited choices on the buffet. There was only one other table besides us, but the waitress was barely present and we waited awhile for her to remove the plates. I actually left with a tummy ache, not because I ate a lot. I had to go to Tim's and get some peppermint tea to settle my stomach.
